On 15th January , Uganda held its general elections with around 8 Presidential Candidates
Its quite alarming how the NRM had free compaigns and gatherings but everytime NUP members tried to form compaigns . They were fired too by the police with tiregas and bullets were fired up.

On the day of compaigns people were killed , businesses were destroyed and some supporters ended up in Prison.
The Elections were carried out and His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was declared President of Uganda for the 7th Term from 2026-2031.
On 12th January , The well-known Pearl Of Africa UGANDA underwent an internet shutdown at 6pm. It left the faces of Ugandans wondering ... If they are fair and democratic elections is it necessary to Shutdown the internet. Internet shutdown led to alot of losses among the people who use social media of Around Shs.24billion. After a duration of 5 days the internet was returned but social media platforms were banned. But despite that the Ugandans still have access to the media through different ways.
The UCC executive director Nyombi Thembo warned Ugandans against Using VPNs to access the internet. He also claims that any who accesses the internet illegally and tries to release any threatening content will be DRONED UP😛.
